Magnesium Rich Coatings and Coating Systems

This technology package consists of two different disclosures. One is a protective primer coating for two different aluminum alloys used in the construction of aircraft. The second is the application and optimization of that coating to structures of different alloys such as aircraft skin, rivets and struts. This technology protects aluminum from corrowion while eliminating toxic and carcinogenic materials such as chromium, that are currently used for corrosion protection.
