Description
'Dakota Trailblazer' is a high yielding potato variety. Tubers are attractive with medium dark russet skin and creamy white flesh. The plant is vigorous, with medium to large vines and white flowers. It is aptly named because it is the first potato cultivar released from the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station with the ability to be processed into french fries.

Utilization
'Dakota Trailblazer' has has a dual purpose. It can be used as tablestock, but also has excellent French fry quality, with better color and percentage sugar ends than Russet Burbank.
